It's been quiet since Cole was born. Of course, it would take a really big event to top his birth. He, like Ben, Sam, Ellie and Zack has quickly become a New York Life and Parker Hannifin favorite.
Tony has been spending alot of time in the studio getting ready to paint and also moving things around so we can put a bed up there for guests.
David, Joanna and Bernie will be stopping by at the end of August and then we get to see Jenna, Jon and the kids in September. It will be fun to see everyone again. I hope we can get Tony, Marie and Cole to come down when Jenna and Jon are here so they can see Cole.
As far as the job search is concerned, I am almost employed. As you may recall, I met a man named Fred at the City Club last month. Fred is the President of Strickland Windows and is looking for another person to join their team. I interviewed with him over coffee and things seemed to be pretty positive.
We met again a few days ago, again at the City Club. I had my friend, Judy Budd, do some investigating, so she talked to Fred and found out that he is planning to hire me in three to five weeks. Right now he needs to replace an installer so that is his focus. So the good news is I could be working by September--the bad news is until I have an offer and start date, I'm still unemployed.
The weather here is crazy. We've had some really strong storms push through the area with high winds and heavy rain. Tony and I have gotten really good about bringing things inside from the screened in patio in record time.
And so, we are off--we're going bed shopping today for the studio. It will be good to get out of the house--as long as we stay in air conditioned places.
