Well, it's been awhile, but we're back online!! I didn't realize how much we relied on our computer until we lost all of our important information and pictures.
Our last post was in March (I think) and much has happened since then. Our health is the main thing. Tony will be having a pace maker installed in the near future to regulate his heart beat. I am waiting until August to have more testing done on my shortness of breath and leg swelling. By having the tests done after my birthday, Medicare will pick up some of the cost. It stinks to have to wait, but I'm still paying off the echo cardiogram ($1700!!!) so I didn't want to incur more expense. I guess that's the good part of working in the Emergency Room, many of the doctors and nurses are aware of what's going on, so it's not unusual for them to check my pulse, heart rate or blood pressure.
Tourist season is in high gear in Wilmington and surrounding areas....so far, we have had 2 sting ray patients where the stinger had to be removed, several cases of cut feet from people jumping off of their boat onto broken oyster shells, a bunch of people with fire ant bites on their feet, multiple cases of heat exhaustion and heat stroke and the usual nut cases that we always get....most recently, a man who thinks he's Jesus and an involuntary commit who told me to get my fat ass out of his room. Just another day in paradise!
Two thirds of the kids came down for Father's Day. Unfortunately, Jenna, Jon and the kids didn't make it. We did a photo shoot of the family. My favorite picture is one of all of us and I am holding the picture that Tony painted of Jenna's family. I finally got all of the kids and grandkids in a picture!
David and Brenda have big news....they moved into their new house in Lakeland, Florida. It's just beautiful. A new build with 4 bedroom and a huge kitchen. We are patiently (well, not me....) waiting for the birth of "Smalls Swegle" sometime in September when we will see the baby and the house.
While the "kids" were here, Tony took a ride in a vintage (1930-40 era) WACO (rhymes with taco) bi-plane. Tony Jr., got him the gift of a ride for his retirement and time has just gotten away from us, so he finally went up in June, compliments of the Lakeland Swegles & Charlotte Swegles. He had a great time and took David up with him. Me in an open cockpit just wasn't going to happen. They had the pilot fly them up to Compass Pointe for a great view (from 1200')of the community and our home, a ride of about 50 minutes at 80 knots airspeed. While Tony was taking his ride, we saw some skydivers. That was cool.

A Good Flight
Cloud Catching...oops, where are the clouds?
Oh, here they are!!
We had a blast and then headed for the beach. More later, I'm just glad to be back online!
