Everyone is growing up! The Purdum kids, the Charlotte Swegle's and Alex. It goes so fast.
And now, Dixie is 7 years old today. Just like a mother coming home from the hospital with her newborn, I remember the day we picked up Dixie and brought her home. She settled right in and made herself comfortable, sleeping on Tony's legs--something she still does. We watched her every move, we watched her sleep.
She was a tiny little thing. I could pick her up from the floor with one hand. She couldn't get up the stairs to the studio but she could walk around in her cage.
She has brought us such joy and laughter. She's smart, funny, has her own routine and has us very well trained.
